Strengthening Wildfire Preparedness in the Context of Climate Change – Mapping Risk-Prone Areas

December 12, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Forestry and Environmental Action fea. is hosting an inspiring workshop with the aim of intensifying collaboration between the government sector and civil society, focusing on joint efforts to reduce the risk of forest fires in the context of climate change.

The main focus of the workshop will be on creating an interactive GIS map of fire susceptibility in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a process that will soon commence by the project team of the FEA organization.

Bringing together representatives from various stakeholders, the workshop’s participatory approach will provide them with the opportunity to share opinions, exchange knowledge, and experiences, contributing to the creation of a high-quality map of areas at an increased risk of forest fires.

Stay tuned as we’ll be sharing insights from the workshop directly with you!
The project “Joint action to reduce the increased risk of forest fires for nature and people in the context of climate change in Bosnia and Herzegovina” is implemented by FEA and funded by The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the program SMART Balkan – Civil society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans.
