Kick-off meeting of the project

On Thursday, 31st of August, the Kick-off meeting of the project “Joint action to reduce the increased risk of forest fires for nature and people in the context of climate change in Bosnia and Herzegovina” brought together representatives of entity and cantonal institutions responsible for forest management, representatives of public companies, the academic community, and the civil sector.

During the meeting, the role of the project in dealing with the acceleration of extreme weather conditions that lead to an increased risk of fire, as well as the need to strengthen resilience to climate change, was highlighted.

During the discussion, the participants particularly pointed out the importance of continuous education and informing the public, as well as the importance of creating partnerships in this context.

The project “Joint action to reduce the increased risk of forest fires for nature and people in the context of climate change in Bosnia and Herzegovina” is implemented by FEA – Forestry and Environmental Action and was funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway within the program SMART Balkan – Civil society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans.
